"observe the Lenten fast by 1) simplifying your food (if you will, more hamburger less filet mignon)" --WW

The closest I get to "filet mignon" is venison backstrap. What little there was (compared to the quantity of "hamburger" in my freezer) is gone. :(
It was good, though. :)

I'll go along with "less"; and perhaps I'll try to manage without the a.m. coffee.
[It's a good thing they only sell Girl Scout cookies in February!]

Helen,

Youch. No coffee in the a.m.? NOW you're really talking about the utterly humanly impossible for me...

You seeing any flowers down there yet? Not even a crocus here. :(

The Book of Wisdom says it's envy.

I've been thinking a lot about the eating of the fruit as theft lately and considering how that plays out.

They took the one gift that hadn't been given.

Pastor,
I said, "perhaps" ;)
I'll start with "one cup instead of two".

My friend who has a house and garden says that her daffodils are up and the miniature magnolia is beginning to bloom.

Wildflowers won't be conspicuous for another month. It's been so very dry they may not do much at all this year.
