Robert Clark sent me this pic of him, Michele and me on the day of their wedding...it was a few moons ago - before I learned how to make sure my stole was on straight (solved that for weddings now: I wear only cassock and surplice!)!!!
Ours was right out of the "green hymnal" which was the standard at that time (as if Dirk would do anything else!). I wasn't even Lutheran then! I'm quite mild by comparison to those days -- called him "rabbi". I may get to see him briefly Tuesday. Have not seen a nuptial mass as a Lutheran, but then again, I have never seen a Common Service, now living incognito as DSIII, in LCMS ever.
My wedding was mass. It was pretty rocking too. The hymn of the day was Dear Christians One and All Rejoice (all 10 verses - much to the dismay of my mother). :)
Our congregation (ULC, Mpls) had the pleasure of having a wedding during the Sunday morning Divine Service a couple years ago on Trinity Sunday.... and we used DS-III.

Oh, my gracious, "cassock and surplice," what, no wedding mass?
Fondly,
John
And all three of you look so happy!
: )
My wedding was a Mass, but I've not had the joy of a nuptial Mass since...

You're rocking the sweet glasses and the 'stache too!
