Those tapes have done remarkable things for the church - what a blessed man!
My favorite writing of Dr. Korby's is the essay on worship that appeared in the Caemerer festschrift "The Lively Functon of the Gospel." It was the best thing in a book of very fine essays.
People are posting their remembrances of the good doctor, but I am bereft. I heard him on tape and enjoyed it immensely. The first encounter with him, though, was via the marvelous festschrift for Richard Caemerer, *The Lively Function of the Gospel.* I think I first read it when I was 16 or so - a friend had recommended the book - but didn't quite understand it (and that was an understatement). I turned back to it when I was in my late teens and I think it opened my eyes to see glories I had never seen before.
Now, IF you are the slime-bucket who borrowed my copy of *The Lively Function* and never returned it, just send it back and all will be forgiven. : )

At first glimpse I thought Father Fenton passed on as your first sentence read, "Fr. Fenton just passed on"
Same here.
Ack! NOT Fr. Fenton; Dr. Korby!
