Let's make that sucker go viral!

If nothing else, a great tribute to Todd and Jeff.

Last I checked it was up to 150 signatures, and it keeps increasing with every refresh of the browser. "Viral" may be too tame!

Over 200 now. That was my goal for tonight. Now, can we make it to 1000 by Monday night?

Meanwhile, an online petition has been started up about Issues, Etc. being ended. I don't know how much good it will do, but it should be able to do some. it certainly can't hurt to put your name down. Here's the link:
http://www.petitiononline.com/Issues/petition.html

For anyone who comes across this and has Facebook, a lot of discussion it seems is going on at the "Bring back Issues ETC!!!" Facebook group.

Finally, financial help for the Schwarz and Wilken families can be sent to the following address. Just put in the memo line that it’s for the “Schwartz/Wilken Fund”. The Schwarzes especially need the help and Rev. Jack Schwarz's wife Beth has been recently diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy and they need to go to Mayo Clinic to try figuring out what can be done.

"Schwartz/Wilken Fund"
Saint Paul Lutheran Church
P.O. Box 247
Hamel, IL 62046

All help and all prayers are appreciated.

I will be continuing to post information and resources relating to the cancellation of Issues, Etc. and firing of Rev. Wilken and Mr. Schwarz. So, if you could please help me draw people to the resource of my blog, I would really appreciate it.

1,000 by Monday night? My but you have low goals. That petition looks ready to hit 1,000 tonight (Thursday)!

Rev. Eric J Brown said...

I was number 811. By the time I finished looking at the first 400 signatories, it was up over 850. This is wild.

Darth Nemoyer said...

At 11:39am CST, the petition is at 1,005 signatures!

Has anyone noticed that in only 24 hours more people have signed this petition than have ever signed the JesusFirst affirmations, which have been hanging out there on their web site for, what?, five or more years???

10:20 PM CST and it's now at 2,144.

It's been clicking at about 1000 per day. I'll be curious to see how the weekend goes. I also wonder if this is going faster than the Ablaze! counter.

orthodoxy hunter said...

Did you see who just signed it?

wm cwirla said...

Referring to Richard Abanes from Saddleback?

Now that's respect!

This petition is turning out to be one of the finest tributes to Todd and Jeff's work you could ask for. I hope they get to see every name.

orthodoxy hunter said...

Yep, that's the one.

But, Mr. Strand is dead silent. No respect there.

wm cwirla said...

I verified it. As of 6:00 PM PDT, the petition counter was advancing faster than the Ablaze! counter. You might say that the Issues, Etc. petition is Ablaze!
