October Where Are You?
I'm SOOOO ready for this heat to go. I want to see those deep blue skies of October and feel the chill air in the morning. To watch the leaf pile grow and the wind come nipping cold from the north. So far, this October has felt like August! I miss what fall and winter used to be. I don't think it's just my imagination - things have changed. Cindi was going to make a pumpkin dessert for our pot-luck after late church tomorrow, and we both agreed: too hot for pumpkin. It's October and we STILL have the air-conditioning on. Not right. Not right at all.

I AGREE! IT was 90 degrees yesterday... I think your ready to play in the SNOW!
Ahhh...here in north central Minnesota, it is just as October should be...yellow leaves blowing through the air and those perfect temperatures peaking in the low 60s!
But I'll always miss the St. Louis area in the spring. The CSL campus on some of those mild days in March with the trees starting to bud is glorious!!!
We're having something of an Indian summer here in the U.K. to make up for a miserable May and June. We'll have your hot weather if you don't want it. Being that bit further north and surrounded by ocean its a very nice climate indeed just now.

In Sweden, they say (or used to say) that these days were blessed by the winds of St Brigitte (St Bridget), who is commemorated tomorrow (8 October).
In Michigan, which has been 88 the past 2 days and promises to be 90 tomorrow, it appears that St Brigitte has "over-blessed" us! :)
I didn't realize it was so warm by you, Pastor Weedon! We haven't had our warm fall here, which is the usual. I had a very nice summer, so I am looking forward to the crisp.
The warm weather around this time is called "earthquake weather", so hopefully we won't have that anytime soon!
I'm in northern Wisconsin, and I am running the air-conditioning tonight. This is ridiculous. If I wanted this I would move to Alabama. Maybe I have to move to the North Pole. Most people think I belong there anyway.
When is St. Paul's sausage dinner???
That's what I want to know.
The Feast of the Most Holy Sausage will be celebrated on November 11th. Hopefully it will be chilly enough by then to WANT to eat sausage and kraut!
I wonder if we could come home for that...it's just soooo yummy!
